Mission Viejo is a cultural and suburban city. While there are many offices and places of business in the city, most are residential areas. There are a huge number of single-house houses and several apartment houses, including a two-year community college and a shop at Mission Viejo, a community shopping center.

The name Mission Viejo came from Rancho Mission Biejo, a large patented land by Spain, and a town was built in the rancho. In Spanish, it means 'an old place of missionary', but it is not that there is a Spanish place of missionary work in the city. He also made a grammatical mistake of using male adjectives in Spanish with female nouns. It should be 'Misión vieja' (also known as 'misión vieja'), but it is difficult to say that it is a mistake because the place name itself is English.

History

Mission Viejo was a hilly area and rarely used as a farm, so it was mainly a cattle and sheep pasture. Due to its topographical complexity, it was one of the largest areas in Orange County that had little urbanization. The land was purchased by John Foster, a Mexican, and by Don Juan, the name of Mexico. During the American-Indian War, John Foster supplied the American army with a good horse, which was used for marching from San Diego, and was able to regain Los Angeles.

In 1960, early land developers processed Mission Viejo's land simply as 'undevelopable.' Donald Bullen, who was a city planner and later became the president of Irvine Company, made a master plan to build a road in a valley, a house on a hill, and make a plan to fit the terrain of the area. The project went well, and in 1980 the majority of Mission Viejo City was completed. In the latter half of the 1970s and 1980s, there was a high demand for houses, so many construction blocks were sold out even before the building started. These houses and shopping centers were designed almost uniformly in the style of the Spanish Missionary Center, which has decorative plaster walls and cylindrical roofs like Adobe. Many of Mission Viejo's points were the first and greatest manifestation of Donald Brendan's commitment to Spanish architecture. Donald Bullen was also a development planner in the suburbs of Irvine and Newport Beach. The company expanded its business to build the Lakes Project in Tempi, Arizona, Mission Viejo Aurora in Colorado, and also produced the first master plan for the Highlands Lunch, a suburb of the Denver metropolitan area.

Ichiaki

The city emblem of Mission Viejo was designed and completed by Carl Glasford, a former citizen.

There are three golf courses: the Mission Viejo Country Club, the Casta del Sol Golf Club and the Arroyo Tabco Golf Club. sport

The city has Mission Viejo Youth Athletic Park, a youth complex. This park has eight baseball fields and five soccer fields. This area is used by the 68th district of the Little League and the 84th district of the American Youth Soccer Organization, and there are four soccer clubs: Putty Address, Mission Viejo, West Coast and Saddle Back Integration.

In the 1970s and 1980s, the Mission Viejo Nadadores swimming team and the Mission Viejo Nadadores diving team had won several national championships and created many Olympic competitors and world record holders. The Olympic competitors included Shirley Babashov, Brian Goodel, Larson Jenson, Mary Ann Graham, Nicole Cramer, Casey Converse, Marcia Morey, Dala Torres, and Gregory Roganis.

At the Olympics held in Los Angeles in 1984, a bicycle race was held in the city. In commemoration of this, the former O'Neill Road was renamed Olympiad Road.

There is a soccer-only facility currently used to teach young soccer in the town, and the U.S. national team used it as a training ground before and during the Soccer World Cup held in the United States in 1994. Mission Viejo is the country's largest district for the American Association of Youth Soccer.

At the Saddle Back College Baseball Stadium, Mission Viejo Vizilantes, a member of the Western Baseball League of minor league baseball, played from 1996 to 2001. Currently, the Orange County Fire, a university team in Semi-Pro, is using it.

From Mission Viejo City, Mark Sanchez, the quarterback of New York Jets, Phil Hughes, the pitcher of the New York Yankees, and Adam Laroche, the first baseman of the Arizona Diamond Bucks, are also out.

education

The public education of Mission Viejo (kindergarten to 12th grade) is divided into two unified educational school districts, Capistrano and Saddleback Valley, depending on the district in which the school is included, and the starting and ending dates of the school differ. Capistrano Unified School District has eight schools, with its jurisdiction over the eastern, northeastern and southern parts of the city. As of 2006, all high school students in this school district attend Capistrano Valley High School. Students in the west of the city (north of Oso Parkway and up to Margaret Parkway and west to Alicia Parkway) attend Mission Viejo High School in the Saddle Back Valley Unified School District. The students in the northernmost part of the city go to Travo Hills High School in the School District for Unified Education in Sadulback Valley, where most of them live in Rancho Santa Margarita and Lake Forest.

Sylvelado High School, Miramonte High School and Pathfinder High School are schools for continued learning and adult education. The Silverado High School is a day-to-day system, but Miramonte High School provides strict independent education while using the same campus.

The Shops at Mission Viejo and Saddle Back College, close to the Capistrano Valley High School in the southern part of the city, are large community colleges. The sister school also has a two-year Irvine Valley College.

Furthermore, four-year universities such as California University Irvine, Chapman University, Soka University of the United States, and Fulton University of the State University of California (Irvine Campus) are located in neighboring cities.

The La Tierra Elementary School was closed in June 2009 to reduce the budget. This school was selected because it was small and had few children. The school will remain closed until further notice. Mission Viejo citizens call the elementary school a "small school with a big heart." This child was transferred to Del Cerro Elementary School.

Onir Elementary School, the first elementary school in the city, was closed in June 2009 due to the budget reduction of Saddle Back Valley Unified School District. The children living in the Dianne community around the school were transferred to the nearby De Portola Elementary School. A child with a house to the north of the lake transferred to Melinda Heights Elementary School in Rancho Santa Margarita.

Six elementary schools, one junior high school and two high schools in Capistrano Unified School District. At present, seven elementary schools, two middle and two high schools are the elementary schools of the Saddle Back Valley Unified School District. There are two other private schools.
